Marvellous Marlie Brings the HARE Flair to Modern Barber
Following Marlie’s marvellous stage work at Salon International with Modern Barber, all while absolutely smashing it through her pregnancy — and HARE being put forward for Employer of the Year, I thought it was time to shine a light on what really makes HARE tick: our team.
Marlie tattooed & talented, and with a chat that could channel Amy Winehouse on a smoky Friday night.
She’s got that fierce, fearless edge, but when she picks up her tools, it’s pure poetry. A serious pro. Watching her work is like watching art happen in real time — all while being cheeky, chatty, and glowing (pregnancy and power combined). She’s the real deal, and we’re lucky to have her. Big love to Laura, Kristle, and Maisie for creating a safe, loving space around her.
Maisie is calm, kind, and crystal clear. She’s got the gentle heart and firm hands combo that makes her the Mary Poppins of the salon — if Mary Poppins wore Vans and gave you life advice during your blow-dry.
Kristle is loyal, funny, and fabulously quirky. She’s basically the Lady Gaga of hair, I could see her now, happily rocking up to work in a chorizo dress.She has a weird and wonderful banter, and how we love her for it.
Ruby? A spark in human form. Bubbly, bold, and a little bit feisty — the kind of energy that walks into a room before she does.
Owen is our resident big softy. Sporty, hilarious, and always game for a laugh. If HARE were a sitcom, he’d be the fan favourite with a secret smile. I find get Ross from friends vibes.
Sophie is a quiet storm. Footballer by night, stylist by day, and secretly full of creative genius. She’s all talent, no fuss — and we love that about her.
Laura has the sales charm of a second-hand car dealer, think Matilda’s dad, but with better ethics and unbeatable product knowledge. Honestly, she could sell sea salt spray to a fisherman.
Fatima is our soulful sage — a brilliant educator with old-school hippy energy and a heart that beats for the craft. She grounds us, teaches us, and reminds us why we love what we do.
And then there’s George — with more business ideas than Alan Sugar after a triple espresso. Always dreaming, always building. The engine room of HARE’s ever-expanding empire.
