The Month That Hits HARE Different

There’s just something about Christmas in Oxfordshire.
The lights switch on, Woodstock’s church bell starts marketing itself, the pubs overflow with wild jumpers, and winter ales pour like no one’s working tomorrow. Cold air, warm vibes, even the high street feels freshly blow-dried. As the Buttercross panto arrives, Little Red Riding Hood gliding in with the same confidence people get after one too many sips of the communion wine. Cloaks care-free fly, crowds cheering, Witney instantly charmed.

And inside HARE? Christmas magic.
Buzzing chairs, great energy, back-to-back busy, flat whites and Blenheim Water everywhere, and a team who genuinely love what they do. Our favourite time of year—every shop, every chair, every moment feels vibey.

🎳 Staff Party Incoming

Bowling. Secret Santa.
George taking bowling FAR too seriously. Kristie buying a questionable Secret Santa gift. The usual chaos to celebrate a tough but brilliant year.

🌟 And Here’s the Truth Behind the Festivities

As joyful as December is, it’s also a crucial month for us. This year’s budget has left small businesses like ours nervous for 2026, turnover is growing, but heavy taxes create moments of real fear. At times it feels like there’s a political agenda to slow small-business growth altogether. Still no support, no VAT reform, and no real action on cash-only unregulated barbershops undercutting legal, VAT-paying businesses doing things properly.

So yes, December matters.
Your £26 blow-dry, your products, your vouchers, your support, they help carry us through the quieter months and keep HARE growing, training, and standing strong in a climate that isn’t exactly cheering us.

And yet… we stay positive.
We stay grateful.
We stay proud.

Thank you for choosing HARE and for backing a local independent.
